This page started as a Cybertour of Jerusalem (and Israel and Jordan in general) back in 1999 when Adam and I (Monica Hertzman) went to the Middle East and took his grandmother on a virtual tour. Now, I am an official web producer (at RAND) and, as if I don't do enough on the computer during the day, I've also decided to create a family homepage. What's New... Adam and I are planning six months' of wild travels, from Princeton to Rotterdam to Christchurch and Sydney. He will be working at Bristol Myers Squibb this summer in Princeton, N.J., until August 31, and I'll be visiting him on occasion. We may meet "in the middle" some weekends, such as in Houston for Janine Abmayr's big 3-0. On September 1, I fly in to DC and that evening we're flying to Amsterdam. We were originally going to be in Europe for a mere two weeks, but now our plans have been extended and we'll be there for two months! Adam will be studying at Erasmus University's Rotterdam School of Management and I will be working from RAND's European headquarters in Leiden, about 30 minutes away. We return in late October and will be visiting Adam's sister, Ruth, and her husband, David, in Boston, along with their almost 3-year-old daughter Sarah and their new baby, whose name and other information have yet to be determined (the baby is due in mid-October). We will then return to Los Angeles for about 6 weeks. Then, on December 15, Adam's parents will be joining us on a three-week trip to New Zealand and Australia! New Year's Eve down under -- cool! In preparation for all of these travels, though specifically for our time in Europe, I'm putting together a page with links to our favorite recipes. Feel free to try them out! Finally, if you want to see our photos from our last big vacation, to Yellowstone National Park in December 2000, please go to ynp2k.tripod.com. I hope you have fun surfing the site. Please feel free to make suggestions or otherwise comment on what you see and read. Ciao! |
